Everyone is always looking for simple, easy ways to get healthy. While health is often complex, if you want to start getting healthy immediately, a good place to start is getting in 10,000 steps a day.
If you aren’t sure how to get those steps in, and you don’t know where and when you can go for a walk, here are some ideas.

Walk as a Commute to Work
Most people rush out the door to get to work. If you are able to get up a little earlier, though, you’ll be able to not only get ready in peace, but also create enough time to walk to work.
Walking to work gives you a chance to think through your day, your appointments and what you may have forgotten the day before.
It also gives you a chance to listen to some music, catch up on a podcast or listen to an audiobook. Moreover, it helps you to hit your step goal!
Walk During Your Work Break
While you are at work, you actually have another opportunity to walk during your break.
If you have a fifteen or twenty-minute break at some point, spend it going for a walk around the premise, the parking lot, or a nearby area.
If you have an extended lunch, consider spending some of it outdoors, getting some vitamin D and some extra steps in.
Go on an Evening Stroll
The night time is often the best time to go for a nice, long walk. You’ll be able to process the day, let your mind wander, flush out the details of your goals, and of course, get some exercise.
I actually prefer an evening stroll, especially around sunset. It is calm and relaxing, and it allows me to wind down from what may have been a long day.
Just 10,000 steps a day can change your health and your overall wellbeing. It’s really not as hard as you’d think! You just have to get started.

Go ahead and get stepping!
